Upon a Couch, Atrophy
| A thumb hits the rubbery | button, |
making her cocked arm fling a boomerang
| strapped with a grenade. | and boom! |
A cement truck crashes through, pulls out
(with a debri waterfall), and creaks open
the passenger door of white and luring flash.
She steps in, slowly, wide-eyed, and sinks
snuggly into a cloudlike plush that effuses
a tranquilizer likewise to the engine drone
that shuttles toward an edifice with tumbled
entrance doors. There, too, a light emmits.
Inside, a glass counter displays paukikape1s
stringed with tiny notes of publicly accepted
numerals. Her thumb hits the next channel,
and moves the conveyer belt. She stares,
| aims, and flattens her | The shuttle |
returns, but first empties its revolving load
over a buried and forgotten treasure site.
She unfolds the car visor. A smirk returns
from the mirror. A sgasata2 throws her
against the seat. Her boots begin grunting,
squeezing, and pulling. Violently, the door
| breaks off its hinge, | /skips against |
the asphalt. (She gets it next.) Her back
drags bloody toward a Doppelganger-pile.
